X-ray detectors
Purpose of equipment
X-ray detectors allow for measurement of energy and intensity of X-rays. During the bombardment of matter with protons, the atoms within the matter are excited and emit characteristic X-rays. These X-rays can be detected and analyzed with detectors, which leads to characterization of constituents of analyzed matter.
