Gas sorption apparatus and helium pycnometer
Purpose of equipment
The gas sorption analyzer is used to determine the structural properties of porous materials, such as pore size from micropores to mesopores to macropores (0.4 nm to over 330 nm), determination of specific surface area, and pore size distribution. Accurate determination of porosity also requires determination of the skeletal density of the material. An automatic gas-helium pycnometer is used for this purpose.
